Several ad hoc committees and working groups assist the Board of Directors. They are composed of art historians, curators, librarians, archivists, digital humanists, and computer scientists. These groups fulfill a vital role in shaping the artresearch.net platform and advancing the mission and operations of PHAROS.

- Finance Committee: The committee aligns the budget of the PHAROS Consortium to strategic priorities in support of further development of the artresearch.net platform.

- Research Committee: This committee identifies ways that researchers might leverage the images and scholarly documentation available through the PHAROS online platform to support a variety of projects.
